Yesterday evening we had dinner with family at Yubo’s aunt’s house. This is what I wore.
The trench coat was a gift from my mama. It’s warm and cozy and edged with beautiful crocheted lace.
The lace-inspired chandelier earrings were a gift from my grandmother to wear on my wedding day. Whenever I wear them, I think of her and of that beautiful day.
The ruffle-edged gloves were a Christmas gift from my friend Katherine.
Underneath I wore this white lace shift from Anthropologie, with a black ribbon tied around my waist with a bow. I’m one of those odd people that keeps pretty ribbon and wrapping paper from gifts, but see how useful it is sometimes?
I love how delicate and proper I feel when I wear this dress.
Coat: Burberry (gift from my mama)
Dress: Anthropologie
Purse: vintage (ebay)
Gloves: no label (gift)
Shoes: J.Crew
Hosiery: Calvin Klein
Accessories: earrings (gift), found black ribbon

wow that entire outfit is incredible. the coat is just so pretty. i do pretty much all of my shopping at thrift stores…hopefully i can find some stuff like this!

Thank you niftythriftygoodwll and fashionhypnotised!
niftythriftygoodwill – I’ve bought a few pieces from thrift stores, but I mostly use ebay, etsy and the flea market for vintage clothes and I shop at thrift stores for home stuff (great for table linens!). I guess I find thrift store overwhelming for clothes – where do you start?? Your blog looks to be helpful with that though!!
