My name is Nina and I love pretty things. This blog is a place for me to capture the evolution of my personal style while reflecting on the things that inspire it. For me, the act of dressing up and wearing beautiful and interesting clothes is part creative expression, part play, and part self-invention.
I’m also a wife, a mother to two totally awesome little boys, and a graduate student studying English literature. I’m interested in feminism, Asian American literature, mixed race studies, postcolonial literature, and cultural studies. I read and write a lot, volunteer in my son’s kindergarten class, don’t clean my house nearly as much as I should, and teach English composition.
I’ve been blogging since 2001 at various places including BlogHer Style, Savvy Source Los Angeles, and Kimchi Mamas, where I was a co-founder and longtime contributing editor. I have also written for KoreAm Journal.
